Pre-Vocational Training

Our pre-vocational training program is designed to equip individuals with essential skills for the workforce. It focuses on building foundational abilities in areas such as communication, teamwork, time management, and problem-solving. The program combines hands-on experiences with targeted instruction, helping participants gain confidence and readiness for future employment or vocational training opportunities.

Apollo Café offers a hands-on paid internship program for individuals eager to develop work skills in a dynamic café environment. Interns will gain experience in customer service, cashier duties, and general employee responsibilities while serving a variety of snacks, coffee, and tea. Throughout the program, participants work closely with our PIP Job Coach and Employment Specialist, who provide training, daily guidance, and ongoing support. They also manage the internship program, offering regular feedback and evaluations to help interns build confidence, improve their skills, and prepare for future employment opportunities in the hospitality industry.

Partnerships

At Apollo ADP, we offer programs designed to highlight and develop the unique skill sets of each individual through a variety of activities and experiences. Our dedicated staff provide coaching and guidance while fostering independence, helping each person gain confidence in their abilities. We also collaborate with local community partners to create inclusive environments where our individuals can thrive and contribute meaningfully. By seeking out opportunities for positive community involvement and pre-vocational experiences, we help prepare our participants for successful careers and independent living.

In the past we partnered with Applebee’s, an equal opportunity employer that shares our commitment to inclusion. Together, we have created an opportunity for individuals interested in the food and hospitality industry to gain hands-on experience. Under the mentorship of Applebee’s staff, these participants are developing and refining their job skills, preparing for future employment in the industry while being supported in a welcoming and dynamic work environment.

This partnership with Applebee’s exemplifies our commitment to providing real-world job experiences that not only build vocational skills but also foster a sense of community and belonging. By working together, we’re helping individuals gain the confidence and experience they need to succeed in competitive employment, while creating lasting connections between our participants and the broader workforce. At Apollo ADP, we remain focused on opening doors to meaningful opportunities for everyone we serve.

Mikey and Louis are both looking charming and confident as they get to know their new workplace and the people they will be working with as they start their on-the-job training at Applebee’s.
